Yet nights cool to a pleasant 20-21°C (68-70°F). From March onward, daytime highs lock in around 25°C (77°F) and hold steady through the year, making packing almost formulaic. Humidity sits near 70 % year-round, noticeable but not oppressive, compared to the Caribbean coast. Locals call Liberia a gateway for good reason: its climate links you efficiently to Papagayo, Tamarindo, and the Rincón de la Vieja volcanic landscape, all within easy reach. What sets Liberia apart is how the landscape answers the calendar. In the dry months the savanna turns pale and dusty, wildlife crowds the waterholes, and sunsets burn through a haze that feels cinematic.
